Meet Dr. Scheer

Dr. Brandon Scheer, DDS, MSD, is a board-certified orthodontist and the founder of Shine Orthodontics in Thornton, Colorado. As a fourth-generation dentist, Dr. Scheer continues a family legacy that began in 1918 with his great-grandfather, Dr. George W. Scheer, in Wichita, Kansas. This tradition was carried on by his grandfather, Dr. Harold Scheer, and his father, Dr. Brick Scheer, who still practices dentistry today.
Dr. Scheer earned his undergraduate degree from Wichita State University before pursuing his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) at Indiana University School of Dentistry.

Graduating with highest honors, he was inducted into the Omicron Kappa Upsilon National Dental Honor Society and received an award for Excellence in Oral Biology . His commitment to service led him to participate in dental missions in Kenya and Ecuador, providing care to underserved communities.

He completed his orthodontic residency at the University of Colorado School of Dental Medicine, where he obtained a Master of Science in Dentistry (MSD) and a Certificate in Orthodontics . Dr. Scheer is passionate about combining digital technology with personalized care to create functional, confident smiles for patients of all ages.
Outside the clinic, Dr. Scheer enjoys wakeboarding in the summer, snowboarding in the winter, playing classical guitar, and reading. At Shine Orthodontics, he is dedicated to providing individualized, high-quality orthodontic care in a welcoming environment.
